Step By Step Golf Swing
A step by step golf swing can be quite helpful to an average golfer if it’s simple and is able to be broken down to the basics. If the correct steps are followed, then the average player should drastically improve his or her game. Remember, golf is not rocket science; it is however, a very challenging game that requires tons of mental toughness.
No matter if you are using a driver or an iron; you must make sure your setup posture is absolutely correct! The key to your setup is to get into a stable, relaxed position. Always distribute your weight equally at the beginning. (Balance is a key to a successful golf game) Some people may say that you may want to take a few “ghost swings” in a mirror, but how can this help you if you have your eyes focused on the mirror and not your swing?
Other crucial things that you must remember are: 1) Keep your head still at address (this is a very crucial mechanic that can help on its own!) 2) Do not take your eyes off the ball. (You don’t have to take your eyes off of the ball to know where it is going) 3) go onto the course with a positive mindset. (Trust me a clear and positive mind will help your scores on its own!)
A better golf swing will have you leaving the course with better rounds, more confidence, and an overall sense of personal achievement. Who wouldn’t want to have those qualities? I know I do!

Golf Swing Solution $19.46 Golf Swing Solution takes a “new” angle on golf swing instruction by presenting the “foundation” for each golf swing that must be in place before all other forms of conventional instruction can succeed.Conventional Golf Instruction is Presented Backwards! – After reading many books/articles on the golf swing, watching many golf instruction videos/DVDs, taking many private golf lessons, and attending the worlds’ best golf schools- including, David Leadbetter and Hank Haney, the conclusion is most golf swing instruction is presented backwards- or from the bottom up, versus from the top down- focusing on many small pieces instead of presenting the entire big picture foundation of the golf swing first. Without a big picture foundation golf swing context, most golfers end up spinning their wheels and find it hard to improve their golf games, no matter how much they practice, or no matter how many lessons they take.In 4-sections, Golf Swing Solution provides the “Critical Bridge” for all other forms of conventional golf instruction to succeed. 1. TENSION-RELEASE GOLF SWING – What you need to feel at setup? What is the proper sequence of the arms and legs? What triggers takeaway? What turns in the golf swing? What causes swing plane? How do the wrists cock? What squares the golf club at impact? How the grip aligns with golf club construction? How to apply professional golf swing tempo and rhythm?2. TENSION-RELEASE SAND SWING – Learn the key differences between the Sand Swing and the Full Swing. Learn the key set up and swing adjustments that make it “easy to get out of the sand” every time.3. TENSION-RELEASE CHIP SHOT – Use Tension-Release swing principles to make proper arc + pendulum adjustments for chipping.4. BALANCE PUTTING METHOD – New and original putting instruction that applies physics and science principles to the putting stroke- including (1) Single Pivot application (2) Arc + Pendulum sequence that utilizes natural centrifugal and |

Golfing Machine: The Curious Quest That Solved Golf $16 The remarkable true story of a lone genius whose quest to unlock the science behind the perfect swing changed golf forever In 1939, Homer Kelley played golf for the first time and scored 116. Frustrated, he did not play again for six months; when he did he carded a 77. Determined to understand why he was able to shave nearly 40 strokes off his score, Kelley spent three decades of trial and error to unlock the answer and to recapture that one wonderful day when golf was easy and enjoyable. In 1969, Kelley self- published his findings in The Golfing Machine: The Computer Age Approach to Golfing Perfection. The bestselling instruction books of the day required golfers to conform their swings to the author’s ideals, but Homer Kelley configured swings to fit every golfer. He found an enthusiastic disciple in a Seattle teaching pro named Ben Doyle, who in turn found an eager student in 13-year-old prodigy Bobby Clampett. Clampett’s initial success in amateur golf shined a bright spotlight on Homer Kelley and The Golfing Machine, but when the young star suffered a painfully public collapse and faltered as a pro, critics were quick to blast Kelley and his complex and controversial ideas. With exclusive access to Homer Kelley’s archives, author Scott Gummer paints a fascinating picture of the man behind the machine, the ultimate outsider who changed the game once and for all of us. |

Homer Kelley’s Golfing Machine: The Curious Quest That Solved Golf $12.99 The remarkable story of a curious genius whose lifelong quest to unlock the science behind the perfect golf swing changed the game forever. In 1939, an average Joe named Homer Kelley played golf for the first time and scored 116-a respectable score for a beginner, but frustrating for a science-minded perfectionist like Kelley. He did not play again for six months; then when he did, he carded a seventy-seven. Vexed, he grew increasingly obsessed and devoted over the next thirty years to solving the science behind the perfect golf swing, self-publishing his findings in 1969 in a book titled The Golfing Machine. This revolutionary book explained golf, unlike every other tome that merely described it. Unfortunately, the majority of golfers dismissed the book because it was all but unreadable, too thick with physics and geometry and scientific vernacular. The Golfing Machine seemed doomed to obscurity until visionary teacher Ben Doyle and superstar-in-the-making Bobby Clampett brought Kelley’s teachings to prominence-only to witness Clampett implode on golf’s most public stage. Validation finally came seventy years after Homer Kelley’s lifework began, and twenty-five years after his death, when a teenage prodigy named Morgan Pressel became the youngest golfer, male or female, ever to win a major championship. In Homer Kelley’s Golfing Machine, veteran journalist Scott Gummer brings to light the untold story of golf’s most curious genius. A colorful portrait of obsession and an enlightening look into the nuances of the game, Kelley’s amazing journey illuminates an important but underappreciated chapter in the history of golf. |

Newton on the Tee: A Good Walk Through the Science of Golf $16.99 Like no other sport, golf obsesses those poor souls who hope to master its subtleties and abundant complexities. One shot is hit like a dream, the next a nightmare. As a result, the game’s disciples have embraced any and all techniques endorsed by pros and hackers, poets and philosophers (these days a good walk is often spoiled by tripping over a sandtrap’s worth of Zen meditations and mystical tomes). But while so many have journeyed through golf’s metaphysics, no one has presented a readable, compelling look at the science of the game — until now. In Newton on the Tee, accomplished science writer John Zumerchik examines, explores, and explains to us the endless details that make golf such a tantalizing pursuit. Written in language accessible to even the most scientifically disinclined, Zumerchik’s book delves into areas of supreme importance to every golfer, including: The Physics of the Sweet Swing: The universal principles shared by all those rhythmic and well-timed swings you see on TV but not in the mirror Mind Over Muscle: How the brain affects and controls the movements of the body (and why confidence is the golfer’s most indispensable tool) Getting the Ball from Here to There: Decoding the vagaries of launch angles, spin, lift, and gravity that make the difference between walking happily down the fairway and tramping into the bunkers Probability and Statistics: Understanding the mathematics of golf, and a by-the-numbers appraisal of golf’s greatest legends With a firm grasp of both his subject and his 7-iron, Zumerchik takes the reader through all these topics and more, in an entertaining and enlightening work that will give every golfer something to chew on besides his or her nails, and make clear and comprehensible the hundred-and-thirty-five things you shouldn’t think about during your backswing. |

The book clearly answers the questions that golfers should have been asking a long time ago. On Golf Clubs: Can anything else (that really matters) be done to a golf club? Are golf clubs REALLY getting better every year? What kind of golf clubs do you REALLY need? On The Golf Swing:If swing mechanics are so important, why do the best players in the world all swing differently? Why does your golf swing keep changing? How come no matter how many lessons you take, you always need more? On Playing Better Golf: What’s the secret to scoring lower? How come some aspects of your game seem to never improve? What’s the ONLY why to achieve day-to-day consistency? The Mad Science of Golf is certainly not your typical how-to golf book. It will forever change your perception of golf equipment, the golf swing, and how to play better golf. It should be in every golfer’s library. |

The Science of Golf $19.07 This book gives a scientific account of all aspects of the game of golf and answers the questions which occur to all who play the game. The mechanics of the swing and the impact of the club on the ball are explained. Together these decide the range of the ball – which is shown to be the most important factor for success. The aerodynamics of the ball’s flight has several surprises, including the effects of dimples and spin. Understanding these effects allows a calculation of the ball’s flight and explains how the range depends on the clubhead speed and the characteristics of the club.Putting is analysed to find the optimum strategy and to understand how winds, slopes, and mud affect the run of the ball. Handicaps are perhaps the most discussed topic in golf and the book examines the handicaps system to identify their consequences in matches and competitions, with results which will surprise many players. The famous question – “what is the probability of a hole-in-one?” is discussed and a neat way of answering it is proposed. Further chapters examine the players, the equipment, and the economics of the game, discussing the aspects of play that determine success, how much the improvments in clubs and balls have affected performance and the remarkable growth of both the amateur and the professional game. |
